Who is iBroker?

I Broker Pty Ltd (iBroker) is a licensed general insurance brokerage (AFSL 299814) based in central Victoria.

Having spent several years administering laptop insurance claims on behalf of a number of insurance companies, Steve Marks realised that there were very few specific insurance products available to cover laptops, netbooks and tablet computers on an Australia Wide basis or World Wide.

In 2005 Steve established iBroker and developed an insurance product specifically for that purpose. This first product was underwritten by Associated Marine Insurers Agents Pty Ltd (as agent for and owned by Zurich Australia).

After four very successful years the current iBroker Laptop Insurance product was developed and underwritten by QBE Insurance (Australia) Limited.

Steve Marks, owner & Managing Director of iBroker, holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) and is a Senior Associate CIP of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
With over 30 years experience within the Australian general insurance industry, Steve has held senior management positions in underwriting, claims, customer service and broking.
